[Today’s post is a break from the usual tech/biz blogging. We’re on vacation. The Blog came with.]
How appropriate. My $7 watch meant to last six months about five years ago finally died on the second day of my vacation here in the Caribbean. Since then, I’ve been happily timeless. I either have to ask a friend the time, or just not care.
We spent a wonderful week with our friends and fellow VARs (that’s Value Added Resellers, or What We Do) Bob and Sara Silver and their sons Adam and Jeffrey. That’s Bob and Sara (along with PSSI’s Jackie at left) in the picture.
The photo caption: VARs on the Beach. Not very clever, but then, did I mention, we’re on vacation?
The Silvers’ are long-time owners of Phoenix, AZ based Silverware, Inc. Like us, they are long-time resellers of ERP solutions including Sage Pro ERP and in past years, Navision (now officially Microsoft Dynamics NAV). Our week together afforded us many opportunities to talk shop, compare notes and trade stories. While getting in an appropriate amount of beach time too, of course.
Actually, their stay just ended today and we reluctantly took them to the dock for the ferry back to their inevitable flight home tonight. Parting is always such sweet sorrow.
Happily, after a year away from here, we get to stay a little longer, while the blog auto-posts its reserve of pre-published articles most of the time we’re away. Which is fine by me, ‘cause we’re on Island Time…
Time to go find something to drink with an umbrella in it. Cheers.
